A C-55 water conditioning contractor installs water conditioning equipment with the use of only such pipe and fittings as are necessary to connect the water conditioning equipment to the water supply system and to by-pass all those parts of the water supply system within the premises from which conditioned water is to be excluded.

If you are already a licensed contractor in good standing & wish to add an additional license,  you only have to pass the trade exam. You are not required to take the Law and Business exam again!

General Information: TRADE Exam Course Material (Pt-1)

The Water Conditioning manual: Briefly covers the major topics of the State exam including Ion Exchange, Filtration, Treatment for Iron, Deionization, Feeders, Reverse Osmosis, Ozonation, Iron and Copper Pipe Fittings, and Water Systems Sizing. The manual also includes a summary of Problems and Treatments. The last section of the Water Conditioning Manual covers the Health and Safety Orders.

Audio & Video Lectures: The Health and Safety lectures covers the Health and Safety Orders at the end of the Water Conditioning manual.

Water Conditioning Practice Exams: Please be sure that you study all of the practice exams. It is important to read and understand each question, and read every word of the explanations. It is necessary to learn the principles behind the question because the State’s questions may be worded differently.

The C-55 Water Conditioning Contractor’s computer-assisted practice tests: Our exam simulation software program loads directly onto your computer and presents questions one at a time, automatically scores your exam, presents you with a grade, and lists each question answered incorrectly along with the correct answer.

The Trade & The Law Exam

There are two parts to the examination process. ALL qualifying individuals must pass BOTH the standard Law and Business examination as well as a second test covering the specific Trade or Certification Area for which they are applying. Law and Business Manual: The Law and Business Manual is conveniently broken into four separate chapters, each with its own Glossary of Terms. The manual is written in layperson’s language and includes sample forms as well as summaries and checklists to help students prepare for the State Exam. There are no complicated legal codes to decipher. Each section of the Law and Business manual is also backed up with both video and audio lectures to further broaden your understanding and expose you to multiple methods of explanation and memorization.
